Shanxi plans to set up a public welfare information service this year and establish one number that can be dialed for home services across the province, according to information from the provincial government that was publicized on Feb 16.

The system will provide information sharing via the telephone and Internet so that more families, communities and home service organizations can benefit.

Shanxi expects the system to integrate home service resources and evaluate the qualifications and service quality of home service organizations, to standardize home services and make them more convenient.

The province expects to complete work on the system and put it into operation, by the end of this year, and extend the services. By 2015, they will have a province-wide network of information for better communications and information sharing.
