iPad2 pulled from shop shelves

IPad 2, products of Apple incorporated USA are being removed from the shelves of stores in many Chinese cities as an iPad trademark infringement case goes into trial. In Taiyuan, Shanxi province, many shops are still selling Apple products, but some have taken the iPad2 off their shelves.

As of 3:00 pm, Suning and Gome outlets, leading Chinese electrical products and home appliance dealers, in Taiyuan, were still displaying iPads. Apple franchises in the Meiyuan Parkson, Tianmei store, and on Xinjian Rd continued to sell them.

In the Apple franchise in Dananmen, sales personnel said they had taken the iPad2 off shelves, while in the Wangfujing Department Store, Qinglong Computer Mall, and North America New World, sales people said their iPad2 products were removed on Feb 13.

According to the provincial industrial and commercial administration, they have not yet begun examining the stores, but are following the affair closely.
