Lu Weide, a 74-year-old man from Hong Kong, is in his fifth year in Jinan, capital of northeast China's Shandong province for both his beloved wife and his passion in Yong Chun martial arts.

Lu started practicing martial arts like tai chi in his childhood. While working for the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) in Hong Kong in the 1980s, he got acquainted with Ye Zhun, the eldest son of Ye Wen, the master of Yong Chun in China, who was teaching to the staff of ICAC. Lu soon developed an affinity for Yong Chun and became one of Ye Zhun's disciples.

After retirement, Lu met Li Yuanfang, a Chinese traditional culture enthusiast who came from Jinan and later became his wife. In 2010, Lu moved to Jinan. Four years later, he opened his own Yong Chun martial arts school in the city. Up to now, he has more than 100 students from 6 to 60 years old.
