Yinping, a small town in Zaozhuang, East China's Shandong province, boasts a long history of making Chinese writing brushes.

Local craftsmen still use traditional techniques to make the brush pens and the delicate procedure consists of more than 100 steps.

The Yinping traditional craft of making Chinese writing brushes has been listed as a Shandong provincial intangible cultural heritage to better protect and inherit the craft.
