Review

Taicang, a county-level city in Suzhou, East China’s Jiangsu province, has become a key center for German companies in China.

The first German company settled in the region in 1993 and, during the past 24 years of development, the ancient waterside town has been hailed as the hometown of German companies in China.

In total, 256 German companies have settled in the city since August 2016 amassing sales revenues of 18.6 billion yuan ($2.72 billion) in the process.
