| Dianshan Lake scenic area |
The Dianshan Lake scenic area is fringed with numerous historical sites, such as sites representing Songze culture from 6,000 years ago and Fuquan Hill culture. These are the earliest human inhabitations found in Shanghai. The lake also has a number of ancient buildings, including Qinglong Temple, Qinglong Tower and Mao Tower which date back to the Tang Dynasty (618-907). The lake is also home to Puji Bridge and Wan'an Bridge from the Song Dynasty (960-1279), Baoguo Temple and Fangsheng Bridge from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), and Qushui Garden and Wanshou Tower from the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). Moreover, Zhujiajiao and Jinze, two famous towns south of the Yangtze River, are close to the lake.
