Huaqiao International Service Business Park has issued small loans totaling 35.3 million yuan ($5.57 million) to nearly 200 start-ups, completing 175.6 percent of its annual target.

Zhu Haojie, a post-1980 generation entrepreneur, established a property management company in Huaqiao in 2010. As the park developed, Zhu Haojie planned to expand the company but struggled with financial problems. Huaqiao issued a 50,000 yuan ($7,930) loan to aid him.

In addition to start-ups, Huaqiao offers help to fast-growing and high-output enterprises with small loans.
