More than 500 students from Langfang Oriental Institute of Technology in Hebei province gathered on campus to protest the school's military-style management, during which they overturned some tables and chairs in the canteen, Xinhua reported.

The angry group complained about the limited time they were allowed to go off campus, in addition to the high price of hot water in the dorms and goods at campus stores. Some of their concerns were addressed after the 2-hour protest.
