The Zhangbei 2012 Hot-Air Balloon National Championships will be held from July 10-15 in Zhongdu Grassland, Zhangbei county, Hebei province.

The event, organized by the China Aero and the Radio Sports Administrative Center under the State General Administration of Sports, Zhangbei People's Government and the Zhangjiakou Sports Bureau, will attract more than 120 participants representing 61 hot-air balloon teams for the largest event of its kind in China.

More than 300,000 spectators are expected to attend the event which will include fixed target, optional target, Hare and Hounds, speed race, elbow-shape fly and longest and shortest distances fly events.
