The 12th Annual China High-Tech Fair, China's largest exposition on technology, opened Tuesday at Shenzhen International Conference and Expo Center in Shenzhen, Guangdong province.

The Hebei pavilion, covering an area of 160 square kilometers, showcased 44 high-tech cooperation projects this year. Last year, only 17 projects from Hebei were displayed at the fair.

The opening ceremony of the 12th China High-Tech Fair was held Nov 16 at Shenzhen International Conference and Expo Center in Guangdong province.

The 44 selected projects included 10 on new energy and energy-saving technologies, nine on bio-medicine, eight on optical-mechanical-electronic integration, four on new materials and 13 on other technologies.

The Hebei Pavilion sculpture was a golden Chinese character Ji , a short form of the provincial name “Hebei”. It was made of new materials displayed at the fair. Above the sculpture was a globe.
