The construction of the International Tourism Islands in Tangshan, Hebei province has made great progress and will open to tourists on July 18 next year, Tangshan officials said.

The very big project, covering 73 square kilometers including 42.25 sq km of land area, will cost a total of 26.12 billion yuan for its nine sub-projects.

The nine sub-projects include airplane service, passenger buses infrastructure, a holiday service community, a cluster of stellar hotels, a CBD zone, a hot spring villa and a golf course.

The holiday service community, also called the Blue Sky Project, provides entertainment, shopping and health promotion facilities for tourists.
