As many as 19 agricultural gardens in Zunyi are covered by the "Five 100 Projects of Guizhou", involving vegetable, traditional Chinese medicine, rice and cured tobacco industries.

In the coming years, Zunyi will integrate and reorganize investments to support the development of 30 modernized agricultural gardens.

The agricultural gardens in Zunyi are now being developed. For example, Zheng'an is the cradle of Chinese white tea. In the past five years, about 30 processing factories have set up operations in the modernized demonstration agricultural garden there. The tea garden in Meitan has successfully promoted its "Meitan Cuiya" tea brand, making itself a leader in the Guizhou tea industry.

Zunyi has a solid foundation for constructing agricultural gardens, and the next step is to promote industrialized agriculture through the construction of modernized agriculture gardens and the extension of the agricultural industry chain, said Wang Bingqing, mayor of Zunyi.

Zunyi issued the Plan of Modernized Agriculture Gardens Construction in Mountainous Areas in Zunyi last year. Meanwhile, preferential measures concerning policy, capital, talent, technology and mechanism are also being adopted to build high-level agricultural gardens and double the net income of rural residents by 2016.
