Guiyang is a demonstration city for energy conservation and emission reduction.

In recent years, a project introducing clean energy buses into Guiyang has been initiated to promote green travel.

More than 1,000 vehicles with liquefied natural gas will be used in Guiyang in 2013, encouraging the use of clean energy in public transportation.

Guiyang will build several gas stations to support the vehicles with liquefied natural gas in 2013. In addition, it will popularize 650 electric training vehicles in driving school, reported the Guiyang transportation department.

Up to now, all the buses from central Guiyang use clean energy. More than 650 taxies use methanol fuel.
