Guizhou enters China UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List with 11 sites

The State Administration of Cultural Heritage recently announced the China UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List. Among the total 45 items, 11 are located in Guizhou.

The 11 items in Guizhou are Zunyi Hailongcun Chieftain site, Dong ethnic villages in Liping county, Rongjiang county, Congjiang county, Miao ethnic villages in Taijiang county, Jianhe county, Rongjiang county, Congjiang county, Leishan county, Jinping county, and the Tongren Wanshan mercury mine site.

The tentative list was finalized by professional institutes and experts upon assessment of all the applications in accordance with the Convention for the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage.
