Na Qian Expressway opens, connects Chengdu to Guizhou in 4.5 hours

The Na Qian Expressway, the first expressway connecting Sichuan and Guizhou, opened to the public at midnight on Nov 28, Sichuan Daily reported.

The Na Qian Expressway, which is part of the Xia Rong Expressway (G76) in the National 7918 Expressway Network, covers a distance of 135 kilometers and is one of the main channels leading to Sichuan.

The estimated investment for the project was 10.75 billion yuan ($1.73 billion). The Na Qian Expressway, together with the Naxi-Xuyong section and Qianchuanjie-Xuyong section, establishes a provincial expressway that spans 3,822 kilometers.

The Na Qian Expressway starts from Shibaxiang, Xuyong county (Qianchuanjie), and will link to the Bijie-Shengji (Qianchuanjie) Expressway, which will begin construction soon. It ends at Xinle town, Luzhou, and connects to the Naxi-Longchang Expressway.

There are three service areas along the Na Qian Expressway. Its Xuyong Service Area is the largest service area in southern Sichuan.
