The First Bay of the Hongshui River tourist project in Donglan county, Hechi is nearly completed. Final construction acceptance is expected at the end of July.

With an investment of 28 million yuan ($4.19 million), the "First Bay of the Hongshui River" project started in December 2017, and contained a comprehensive entrance service center and a bronze drum glass viewing platform. As a landmark of the scenic spot, the platform is built on a 702-meter-high mountain. It is 21.5 meters tall, the same as the maximum diameter of the bronze drum. Visitors can get a sweeping view of the First Bay of the Hongshui River on the 35.5-meter-wide glass skywalk with a height of over 700 meters. Standing on it, visitors will be dazzled by the breathtaking scenery of mountains and rivers as if they were just painted on the air.

The completion of the project will push forward construction of the Bama International Tourist Resort. Meanwhile, it will propel local tourism promotion and boost the unique tourism brand of Donglan county.

Hechi is located in the northwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the southern foothills of the Yungui Plateau.
