Thanks to the use of e-commerce and internet technology in recent years, Hechi in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region has seen booming sales in its agricultural products.

The city government has attached importance to the business model of using Internet Plus agricultural products to promote modern agriculture in the city and increase rural incomes.

An online-to-offline (O2O) fair focusing on selling agricultural products was held in Jinchengjiang district on Jan 11, with more than 80 companies from the city taking part. The companies exchanged ideas and pledged to cooperate on producing, processing, and selling agricultural products and signed preliminary agreements worth more than 50 million yuan ($7.3 million).

Hechi's first cold-chain logistics center came into use in December last year. It too has provided a boost to the storage and transportation of the city's agricultural products.

Hechi is located in the northwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the southern foothills of the Yungui Plateau.
