The literary federation of Dahua Yao autonomous county in Hechi, Guangxi, organized local calligraphers to write Spring Festival scrolls for rural communities on Jan 28.

More than 10 calligraphers wrote over 300 Spring Festival scrolls and the character "福" (fu, meaning blessing) on the day for the public as gifts free of charge.

The activity created a festival atmosphere for the upcoming Chinese New Year and expressed best wishes to local residents.
