Hechi Daily wins first prize in network literature competition

The award ceremony for the first Guangxi Network Literature Competition was held in Nanning on Oct 20. Hechi Daily won the first prize in the organization award, while Wu Zhen, an author from Luocheng county, won the excellence award in prose.

The competition was jointly sponsored by the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television Administration, Guangxi Internet Information Office and Guangxi Publication Media Group and co-organized by Guangxi Cyber Culture Association, Guangxi People's Publishing House and Mailin Literature Web.

The competition period covered four months between May 12 and Sept 12. During this period, 21 articles stood out from a total of 2,210 pieces written by literature fans from 20 provinces and cities nationwide. The competition received guidance and support from Guangxi publicity department and Party committee network security office.

The competition highlighted the gradual maturity of Guangxi's online network literature and projected a new aspect of Guangxi's culture and history.
