Silkworm farmers at Qunfuzhongyang Farmer Professional Cooperative in Hechi's Luocheng Mulao autonomous county invented an electric silkworm feeding machine after half a year's exploration and tests.
The machine was in accordance with the principle of railway track to solve the problem of feeding silkworms of mulberry leaves inside greenhouses.
The battery-powered machine has four wheels and can change speed and direction. It can carry 10 bamboo baskets of mulberry leaves at the same time, which greatly reduces labor costs and increases the speed of feeding.
The Qunfuzhongyang Farmer Professional Cooperative has established five silkworm breeding greenhouses, with each batch of silkworm cocoon bringing over 80,000 yuan ($12,896) income.
