Huanjiang develops tourism by reputation of world natural heritage

After Huanjiang joined the world natural heritage list, an increasingly larger number of passengers came to visit. The Huanjiang government also vigorously developed local tourism and gave it a higher priority.

Niujiaozhai Waterfalls Scenic Spot has been regarded as a key tourism development project recently. Huanjiang aims to construct it into a 4A national scenic spot and use it to boost the tourist industry of Huanjiang Maonao autonomous county.

Huanjiang has invited Beijing Dianfeng Zhiye Tourism Culture Creative Company to make comprehensive planning for the development of Huanjiang’s tourism. Innovative designs and completed infrastructure are equipped in Huanjiang’s scenic spots. Local government also invited the national travel channel to shoot a publicity feature program. Huanjiang Maonao autonomous region will apply for the status of China’s most beautiful cultural and ecological tourism counties, laying a solid foundation for the development of tourism.

In the first eight months of 2014, Huanjiang received 395,000 domestic tourists with a year-on-year growth of 29.89 percent and an income of 346 million yuan ($56.4 million). It also received 1,900 foreign tourists with a year-on-year growth of 43.56 percent and an income of $723,000.

Hechi is located in the northwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the southern foothills of the Yungui Plateau.
