This is a small island on the Cifu Lake, in Bama county, covering nearly 2.8 hectares with mountains and beautiful scenery all around. The project is handled by the Guangxi Bama Changshou Geological Park Development Co and centers on traditional ethnic folk practices in Bama and China’s thousands of years of health practices. The development is supposed to reflect China’s old idea of harmony between man with nature under the Taoist principle. The construction work is in two parts: a Health-Keeping Culture Park for daytime sightseeing and visits, the other a “Bama Dreamland” for nighttime entertainment and shows.

The work mainly involves residential housing for ethnic groups, with wooden structures with thatched or tree–bark roofs, all in the original style. A Culture Corridor will teach tourists about the health-preserving culture while they enjoy their leisure time. A Family of Longevity site tells tourists about the secrets of longevity among the Bama and the farming culture to put them in touch with nature. The has a wonderful environment with many plants and gardens with simple artwork, for example, a “Spring of Life” with water shooting up high into the air to symbolize endless life. There is also a Screening Hall and a Gourmet Food Street and visitors can try their hand at fishing or some water golf. When night falls, they can sit around the lake stage and enjoy ethnic minority shows on their way of life artfully presented. Afterwards, they can return home feeling really fulfilled.

Hechi is located in the northwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the southern foothills of the Yungui Plateau.
