Liuhou Park is located at Central Park Road, Liuzhou with an area of around 20 hectares. It is built by the local people to commemorate Liu Zongyuan (AD 773-819), the famous Tang Dynasty writer, thinker and statesman, and is the expansion of original Liu Zongyuan Memorial Temple.

In the park lies Liu Zongyuan Memorial Temple, Liu Zongyuan Cenotaph, Luochi Pool, Ganxiang Pavilion and other sites related to Liu, along with a man-made lake of nearly 7 hectares. The clear water and the curved bridges are side by side contrasting finely with each others. Alongside the lake is a pleasant scenic setting of verdant woods and pavilions and rockeries.

Liu Zongyuan Memorial Temple was originally known as Luochi Temple, named after the Luochi Pool - a pool of clear, clean and bright water. The scene of "Luochi Night Moon" has been well known since the beginning of the Tang Dynasty and is one of Liuzhou’s famous Eight Ancient Sceneries. The most precious treasure of the temple is "Three-wonder Stele", or "Lizi Stele". Its stone carving skill is superb and fabulous, proved by the unrestrained and wild way of cutting as well as the proper sense of propriety. This stele assembles "Liu Zongyuan's story, Han Yu's article and Su Shi's calligraphy" in one. The three figures are among "Eight Great Men of Letters of the Tang dynasty(AD 618-907) and Song dynasty(960-1279)"; that is the reason for naming it as "Three-wonder Stele". It bears profound historical and artistic value nationwide for its uniqueness.

After the expansion of the past century, Liuhou Park has become a comprehensive large park. Its rare, elegant and beautiful landscape is expressed by green grass, the Peach Blossoms Hill, the Flowers Island, artificial lakes, bonsai garden and stone hall, to name a few. The park is dotted with towering and shady ancient trees as well as blooming and fragrant flowers. It is like an oasis within the bustling downtown, a paradise for people to visit or spend leisure time.

Hechi is located in the northwestern part of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and the southern foothills of the Yungui Plateau.
