Spanish Masterworks exhibited in Fuzhou

Fuzhou Art Gallery and Valencia Modern Art Museum jointly opened a new exhibit, the Spanish Fine Art Exhibition, on July 20, 2010.

The exhibit shows 54 pieces from Valencia Modern Art Museum, including statues, oil paintings, photographs and videos. The pieces range from 19th century works to contemporary works. The exhibit includes masterworks created by important Spanish artists such as Pablo Picasso, Julio Gonzalez and Miquel Barcelo.

As one of the most influential museums in Europe, Valencia Modern Art Museum was founded in 1986 and opened its doors in 1989. The museum welcomes 600,000 visitors yearly.

The Spanish Fine Art Exhibition is launched as an event held by the Spanish Pavilion as part of the 2010 Shanghai Expo. It will tour around China. The exhibit will last until August 18, 2010. Admission is free. The exhibition hours are from 9:00 am to 12:00 am, and from 14:30 pm to 17:30 pm, Tuesday through Sunday.
