Fuzhou economy and trade delegation visits Japan and Indonesia
Updated: 2010-07-21

On July 19, the Fuzhou economy and trade delegation left for Japan to attend a ceremony commemorating the 30th anniversary of Fuzhou and Nagasaki becoming sister cities. Over the last 30 years, the two cities have established close economic and cultural ties, and have taken part in numerous personnel and technology exchanges. By the end of June 2010, Fuzhou had welcomed 1,757 people in 133 groups from Nagasaki, and had sent 373 people in 62 groups to Nagasaki.

Besides attending the anniversary ceremony, the delegates will pay a visit to the Chinese Counsel General in Nagasaki, and have meetings with local government officials to discuss potential cooperative projects.

Later the delegation will leave Japan for Indonesia to hold two promotional conferences in Jakarta and Surabaya. The conferences will introduce the development strategy and investment environment of Fuzhou to potential investors. The delegation will also pay visits to famous overseas Chinese entrepreneurs as well as some key foreign clients, and invite them to invest in Fuzhou. During these meetings, the two parties will have a chance to discuss a number of investment opportunities in Fuzhou, and will hopefully reach some agreements.
