Fuzhou Golf Trip

For most of the golfers who come to play golf in China, Fuzhou may not seem to be at the top of their list of destinations. However, if you go there for a golf tour, the city won’t make you regret it.

Fuzhou, located on the southeast side of China, is a city that enjoys a sub-tropical monsoon climate with an annual temperature of around 20 degrees Celsius. It is a good place for golf lovers, since they can play golf here all year round. More and more professional golf tournaments are held in the city, which bring a good reputation to the clubs and attract golfers to come and play here.

The four major golf clubs of Fuzhou are as follows:

Fujian Amai Golf Club

The Fujian Amai Golf Club, located at the western outskirts of the city and at the foot of Qi Mountain, is the only 27-hole golf course in the city, with par 108 and area of around 1,000,000 square meters. Fujian Amai Golf Club was designed by a designer from the US Hyde Park Company, Mr. Ted Parslow, who has designed more than 12 golf courses all over the world. The course was divided into 3 parts: Yulan area, Yinghua area and Zonglu area, which gives a good impression to the golfers. The course of Fujian Amai Golf Club is built on the foot of Qi Mountain. Natural and open views beautify the front nine, while plenty of villas have been built on the back nine. Love those city golf courses! In general, fairways are tight. Teeshots require some distance to carry over water.

Fuzhou Hot Spring Golf Club

The Fuzhou Hot Spring Golf Club is situated in the suburbs, only 25 km away from downtown Fuzhou, close to Fuzhou National Park. With very beautiful scenery around, Fuzhou Hot Spring Golf Course is a very good place for golfers to refresh themselves. A variety of facilities are available for you to relax, like indoor hot springs, a gym, KTV house, conference room etc. It is an 18-hole, par 72, 7103 yard course, designed by an international Japanese golf course designer. The course was built in the mountains with the lakes and rivers running through it. All the designs work in perfect harmony with the environment. The Fuzhou Hot Spring Golf Club can also provide any and all golf related facilities for golf lovers, such as driving ranges, pro-shops, club houses, a golf academy and so on. Golf being a very popular sport in China, the country has an estimated 200 golf courses.

Fuzhou Dengyun Golf Club

Fuzhou Dengyun Golf Club, located close to the Dengyun Reservoir, is an 18-hole, par 72, 6,710 yard golf course with a total area of around 550,000 square meters. Located beside the mountains and rivers, the club was designed by the Japanese company, Mizuno, and the fairways in the club are full of challenges and diversities. With the best climate in this area, it is the best place for golf lovers to come to the warm city and play golf to their hearts’ delight all year round. Golf being a very popular sport in China, the country has an estimated 200 golf courses and a lot more are under construction. Hence, Chinese golf courses, which are called "green opium," are not difficult to find even in the small town of Fujian, located in the southern part of China.

Trans Strait Golf Club

The Trans Strait Golf Club is designed by the famous golf course designer Robert Trent Jones. Making great use of the existing mountain, water, and thick forest and with the best course construction, the designer created a masterpiece with serious advantages of natural scenery and ecological development. Some fairways are built on the sand beaches, which can be called "superb." The course is protected by a thick shelter-forest. There are a lot of trees, and the environment is natural without any man-made structures, which is quite pleasant. The course is so difficult and challenging that even masters must stand in combat readiness. The course is 226 hectares, 18 hole, 72 yards that masures 7333 yards.
