The eighth list of Zhongguancun "Golden Seed Enterprises" was announced on June 15, the third day of the launch of the Beijing venue of the 2019 National Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week.
Weng Qiwen, deputy director of the Zhongguancun Administrative Committee,delivered a speech at the meeting.
Representatives of five "Golden Seed Enterprises" staged roadshows to promote their projects. They were Chen Fei, vice president of business at Beijing Lingxi AR Technology Co; Ma Guangqian, co-founder of Beijing MAGIC DATA Co; Liu Zhihong, deputy general manager of Beijing Aicomer Pharmaceutical Technology Co; Gao Zhiyong, general manager of Aidong Super AI Technology (Beijing) Co; and Chen Yining, CEO of BJU Cloud Computing Co.
Sci-tech small and micro enterprises are the most innovative groups among the private enterprises in Zhongguancun and their development determines the future of the park.
The Zhongguancun Administrative Committee has implemented the Zhongguancun Golden Seed Enterprise Cultivation Project since 2011 and a total of 1,167 enterprises have been selected as "golden seeds".
The Golden Seed Cultivation Project currently has over 100 entrepreneurial tutors, represented by Xu Xiaoping, Lei Jun and Kaifu Lee, and established cooperation with more than 60 venture capital institutions, including Fuho Capital, Shunwei Fund and Unity Ventures, and a number of banks, among which are China Merchants Bank, China Construction Bank, Huaxia Bank, Bank of Beijing, China CITIC Bank and Zhongguancun Bank.
Out of the first seven batches of "Golden Seed Enterprises" in Zhongguancun, dozens of unicorn companies have emerged, such as iQiyi, MEGVII, and Noitom, as well as twenty-something leading high-tech companies, including Eyebright Medical Technology Co, UISEE Technology (Beijing) Co, Gago Group and Qfeeltec. Today, the Golden Seed Cultivation Project is already a golden calling card of Zhongguancun's innovation and entrepreneurship.
In 2019, after an initial review and roadshows of companies in branch parks, 207 "Golden Seed Enterprises" made the cut, covering fields like the next generation of information technology, health and medicine, smart equipment, energy conservation and environmental protection, new energy, intelligent transportation and new materials.
The "Golden Seed Enterprises" reflect the hardcore technology entrepreneurship features of current Zhongguancun start-ups and represent their future development direction.
Their achievements in technological innovation and talent development will drive national economic growth, promote the transformation and upgrading of industries and institutions, and enhance regional and national competitiveness.
The Administrative Committee will focus on the enterprises' general situation and R&D investment to introduce them to venture capital groups, banks, guarantee companies and other financial institutions, as well as branch parks of Zhongguancun Science Park.
Sticking to the principle of "municipality-district collaborative support, local-service-oriented", the park will collaborate with its branch parks to provide support to "Golden Seed Enterprises" in funding and resources for entrepreneurship and innovation.
