A new cafeteria for innovators and entrepreneurs opens for business in Zhongguancun Inno Way on Sept 10.

Located in the B1 floor of Inno Way, the cafe covers an area of 430 square meters and can serve a maximum of 150 customers at the same time. Here, innovators can have a break from exhausting work hours and enjoy decent meals in a comfortable environment.

The cafe is the first cafe specially designed for innovators and entrepreneurs working in Zhongguancun area.

"The place used to be an abandoned internet cafe and we spent a year and a half to make it a perfect cafeteria for innovators," according to Zhang Pijing, director of the Technology Service Platform of Inno Way.

After October, there will be afternoon tea available for customers and the cafe is also open for Zhongguancun enterprises to hold discussion panels, training session or even roadshows and match-making events.

Running the inno cafe is part to our plan of building an ideal living environment for those chasing their dreams in Inno Way, added Zhang.

"With the shift of enterprises and the arrival of young innovators, Inno Way must upgrade its facilities and services to keep up their needs," Yao Hongbo, deputy general manager of Haidian Property Group and acting director of Inno Way.

In the future, shared bookshelves, basketball courts, yoga workshops and other recreational facilities will come into shape, creating more communication spaces for innovators.

Zhongguancun Inno Way, in Beijing's Haidian district, is home to many of the country's top tech firms and it is becoming a deep-pocketed rival to Silicon Valley venture capital hub Sand Hill Road. The large startup community is converting itself from a simple gathering place into an innovation hub with various services. Since 2014, the government-backed incubator has attracted hundreds of startups and thousands of investors and entrepreneurs from China and beyond.

It has been receiving delegations from the US, Israel, Finland, France, South Korea and many other countries, showcasing an innovative atmosphere and promoting Z-Park's global influence.
