Beijing Kebai Science took showcased its agriculture big data platform during the 2017 National Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week's Beijing themed exhibition, held at Zhongguancun Science Park from Sept 15 to 21.

The company is devoted to developing intelligent agricultural internet of things (IoT) systems and products which are aimed at increasing efficiencies and lower costs for agricultural firms. Its systems mainly focus on optimizing the watering and fertilizing of plants and crops.

Having developed China's first ever 780 MHz agricultural IoT system, which wirelessly collects environment data, it allows for remote network control and uses a cloud platform for management as well as digital model development of plant diseases and insect pests.

The system can be connected with more than 100 agricultural environment sensors and over 400 irrigation solenoid valves. It can also display overall index data for plant growth, including temperature, water and pest levels, which then feeds into to the levels of watering needed.

Beijing Kebai Science says the system is five times more efficient than traditional agricultural management, saving 50 to 80 percent on water, 30 to 60 percent on fertilizer and reducing pesticide usage by half.

The technology is now widely applied in more than 30 countries, including Russia, Israel, France, England and Turkey.
