China's Internet giant Baidu launched more than 20 intelligent hardware products – Canon’s cloud printers, Haier’s Air Box and Carnet vehicle networking solutions – utilizing Baidu’s own technology at its intelligent hardware summit in Beijing on April 21, Beijing Daily reported on Tuesday.

Wang Zhan, vice president of the company announced a cooperation program named "Baidu Inside" at the summit, under which Baidu will provide technical interface services for hardware vendors who join the program. Meanwhile, it will establish a strategic partnership with distributors such as Jingdong.com and Digital China.

Intelligent hardware products authorized by the program can enjoy privileges in marketing and easier entry, as well as more competitive selling expenses at Jingdong online's shopping mall. In addition, they can get access to Baidu's open ports, including intelligent cloud storage, image recognition, and voice-guided services.

With the development of mobile internet, industrial leaders like Baidu and Alibaba have started their “cloud” business one after another.

In March, Alibaba and Midea launched the first Internet of Things (IoT) intelligent air conditioner; Baidu became a shareholder of an intelligent household enterprise -- Haimou technology; and WeChat showed how to use an air conditioner and TV via remote control recently.
