Hefei, capital city of Anhui province, is to host the 2011 Central China Food Expo simultaneously with the first Anhui Catering Expo and the Catering Summit of the 7th Hui Merchant Conference from November 11 to 12.

The event is jointly sponsored by China Hotel Association (CHA), Department of Commerce of Anhui Province and the municipal government of Hefei.

The expo will include a series of activities, such as an exhibition of Chinese wedding feasts, business banquets featuring famous dishes, pastries and snacks, a catering utensil fair, an agricultural byproduct producers meeting and a wedding accessories exhibition.

A variety of contests and prize-awarding ceremonies are also expected to be held at the expo. The CHA will not only announce the winners of the "2011 Top Wedding Feast", "2011 Top Business Banquet" and "Chinese Famous Dishes, Pastries and Snacks", but also award titles such as "2011 China's Top Ten Business Banquet Hosts", "2011 China's Top Ten Wedding Feast Hosts", "Chinese Famous Restaurants" and "National Green Catering Enterprises".
