Fair features flowers and a treasure hunt
Flower Platform during summer

China’s popular Jiuhua Mountain temple fair will showcase its beautiful mountain flowers with “Treasure Hunt on Flower Platform”. The fair is under way through Aug 30 at the famed resort in East China’s Anhui province.

Located on the north side of Tiantai Peak, the Flower Platform is famous for its flowers, especially during summer months.

In the early days of the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644), a general named Chen Youliang had his troops defeated here. He had no choice but to bury a great amount of treasure here. To this day, his treasure has never been found, but the many tourists who come to Jiuhua Mountain each year have not given up the search.
