Hefei civil aviation market sees an upsurge in passenger flow since the summer vacation starts in July 1, 2010. China Eastern Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines and Xiamen Airlines launched new routes in Hefei preparing for the summer rush.

According to statistics, in the first weak of summer vacation, 76,306 passengers flew in Hefei Luogang Airport, a 26% increase over the same period last year. Hefei Airport will handle 7,500 flights and some 0.75 million passengers in Hefei Airport, both reaching record high.

China Eastern opened three tour routes from Hefei to Yinchuan, Lanzhou and Huhehot. Shenzhen Airlines started Shenzhen-Hefei-Dalian route on daily base. Xiamen Airlines opened Xiamen-Hefei round route.

One reason behind the passion of Hefei citizens to travel by air is that departure time of flights satisfies various needs of passengers. Another is that the construction of waiting halls in the airports brings much convenience to passengers.
