Killer on run burns own face to fool police, held

A killer at large scarred his own face so that police on his trail would not be able to recognize him. He was wrong. The accused was arrested last Monday.

Lu Yuancai, a resident of Yibin, Sichuan province, robbed and killed a man on Oct 19, 2008 and fled with his girlfriend to Yunnan province.

Following a tip off, Sichuan province police tracked him down and nabbed him.
