Inmate who studied hard in jail lands great job

A former inmate of Pingtang prison in Changsha, capital of Hunan province, has inspired many prisoners to educate themselves behind bars.

After being released in March, Wang Wen has secured a job as a management executive in a firm in Dongguan, Guangdong province, with an annual income of over 42,000 yuan ($6,146).

Wang recently wrote a letter to the Pingtang prison staff thanking them for encouraging him to study while he was doing his time.
