Brat held after smashing house, injuring mother

Police in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province, arrested an 18-year-old boy after he smashed his house and injured his mother when she refused to buy him a computer last Wednesday.

Song Chong said he would rather stay locked in prison than live a free life without a computer.

Song's divorced mother had no choice but to call police after her wild son destroyed the television set, microwave oven, furniture and all the windows in the house using an iron rod.

He even hit his mother on the shoulder just before police arrived on the scene and took him into custody.
