Cherry tomatoes accident yields 120,000 for woman

A woman received 120,000 yuan ($17,566) in compensation one year after she injured herself by slipping on cherry tomatoes inside a supermarket.

Gong broke her hipbones and left thighbone during a shopping trip with her daughter last May in Ningbo, Zhejiang province.

After a court deemed she had a disability, she sued the supermarket last year for 171,902 yuan, including medical expenses and mental injury.

Since the beginning of the year, the industrial and commercial bureau of Zhenhai district has received about five complaints from customers related to poor shopping environment.
