Colorblind graduate sues company over job

Updated: 2009-03-04 10:13 A university graduate has filed a lawsuit against the Henan Credit Union after the company refused to hire him because he is colorblind. Zeng Lei, who graduated from Shanxi University of Finance in 2007, said he became depressed and thought about suicide after he was told about the situation despite a healthy checkup. Zeng is asking the court in Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province, for 50,000 yuan ($7,320), plus another 3,000 yuan for his economic loss, and a public apology from company. The case is the first of its kind in Henan province. Zhengzhou Jinshui District People's Court has accepted the case and will have a public hearing. (The Beijing News) |
