Doctors removed two chicken bones from a tiger's throat and it's recovering well at a zoo in Shenyang, Liaoning province.

The Northeast tiger, which is 18-year-old and eats up to 10 kg of chicken meat every day, started belching and vomiting a week ago.

Doctors conducted some tests and found that two pieces of chicken bones were stuck in the pathway of its stomach and it became inflamed.

The procedure was done on Friday and took four hours. The tiger is doing well and is currently on a liquid diet.
