Man leaves £8,800 in public toilet

A German businessman has lost more than 10,000 euros (£8,800) after he left the cash in a public toilet.

Authorities said that the man took the money with him when he made a comfort stop at motorway services near Haigner in Germany.

He then relieved himself before driving off without his money, reports Reuters.

When the man realised his error half an hour later and returned to the service station, the cash was gone, a police spokesman said.
