Ju Duoqi's photograph series, The Vegetable Museum is amusing and full of creativity. Using vegetables and food on ordinary household tables, including cabbages, ginger, tomatoes, lotus roots and sweet potatoes as materials, she composes digital and collage works resembling world-famous paintings like Da Vinci's Mona Lisa, Picasso's The Dream and Delacroix's Liberty Leading the People. Born in 1973 in Chongqing, Ju graduated from the Sichuan Fine Arts College.

Patches of yellowish plants on the wetland, autumn red tones and the setting sun, the snowy mountain and fresh air are all painted vividly by Yi Yan.

Brilliant videos, installations and paintings by nearly 60 domestic and foreign artists will be displayed at Zendai Museum of Modern Art in keeping with its 2008 theme Intrude Art & Life.

On this occasion, some works will be displayed outside at Thumb Square next to the museum, further reflecting the core mission of the project: to make contemporary art transcend the boundary of art museums and become more accessible to the general public.

Exhibition in Guangzhou

Li Zhicheng is a landscape painter from northwest China's Gansu province, whose natural style has lifted him into the top echelon of painters in China. He and another Chinese painter Huang Jinxiang are holding an exhibition in Guangzhou until the New Year.
