Anxious airline passenger seen as threat

While waiting for her plane to take off Friday from Beijing Capital International Airport, a female passenger told a flight attendant that she predicted the plane would encounter a disaster.

Later, she claimed to feel such a premonition again, and scribbled a note to police aboard the flight that she was worried the plane would have an "accident."

It was not clear whether the woman intended to intimidate the flight crew, or whether she was simply afraid of flying, but police escorted her off the plane.

The plane later landed safely at its destination, Urumqi, capital of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.
