Shanghai movie fans can enjoy free movies every weekend for the next three months starting in July in the some of the city's parks.

This is an annual event funded by Luwan District Government of Shanghai, and it will project movies for free this year, in three parks: Huaihai Park, Yanzhong Park and Liyuan Park.

on the movie fest kicks off on June 29 in Huaihai Park with the Chinese movie "Yunshui Yao", a romantic story between a rich girl and a poor boy.

This is the third year the municipal government is holding this event. With Chinese revolutionary movies still dominating the movie list, there are also some foreign and Hong Kong movies that will be shown this year.
