For those interested in China's ancient culture and religious practices and their architecture, the Hongluo Temple in Huairou is a very nice choice. Hongluo Hill is on the east and the Hongluo Lake is on the south. The temple is located in a forest of pines, and features famous scenic spots such as the Bamboo Grove, Ginkgo, Chinese Wisteria and Pines. Other scenic spots include Hongluo HiIl, the Hongluo Temple, the Guanyin Temple, the Chengxiu Park, the Pines Garden and Buddhism Arhats Park. The Holiday Land of the Hongluo Temple and The Secondary Virgin Forest Ecological Area of Labagoumen welcome you with nice surroundings and good facilities. The Secondary Virgin Forest Ecological Area of Labagoumen is the largest of its kind in Beijing and a 90-square-kilometre scenic area featuring the Pool, Phoenix Terrace and Glacier has opened to visitors. It's really a good place to view flowers in the spring, to have a holiday in the summer and to marvel at colourful leaves in the fall.

Follow your dream

No matter where you travel to, the most important thing is to see and experience things that interest you. If you are not sure you are in a place that's right for you, visit with others on your trail and exchange experiences about places you might enjoy more at prices you can afford. This is a very good way to make new friends, save money and have a more enjoyable trip.

Self-guided touring does not necessarily mean travelling alone, but choose tours that are right for you.
