Restored gloryIn 1918 the Kwok brothers, founders of the Hong Kong Wing On Company, opened their six floor store in Shanghai. After 86 years the old Wing On building was restored to its former glory with the arrival of Xian Qiang Fang's flagship restaurant.

Visitors to the restaurant can see the original early 1900s Western-style clock and distinguished marble pillars, authentic artifacts from the city's opulent past. The Wing On theatre has been restored and rebuilt, with the sound of stringed instruments and Chinese opera once again weaving through the rafters.

The restaurant serves dishes with origins that span Chinese history all the way back to the Song dynasty, these ancient recipes have been passed down through the generations. There is a great variety of dishes from every region and style of Chinese cooking.
