A bar prides on sports games

A bar prides on sports gamesWhile bar games are a feature of most Chinese watering holes, pool usually takes a distinct back seat amid the rattle of dice, cards and table slapping. So it's a pleasure to find a bar that prides itself on the game.

The table dominates the downstairs area, housed in its own mini atrium with a double-sided viewing mezzanine on level two offering a bird's eye view. There are plans for a weekly pool tournament and cash prizes. The design is sleek and comfortable, without being too trendy. The bar offers some intimate perching, while wide couches and low tables dominate the extensive upstairs section.

Drinks are reasonable, with beers and spirits starting at RMB 10, and most cocktails for RMB 15 or under. The pool is free, and there's also table football. But, regrettably, I did notice a few dice shakers lurking behind the bar.
