Coach-truck collision leaves six dead in SW China

NANNING - At least six people died and 10 others were injured Wednesday morning after a coach collided with a truck on a fog-shrouded national highway in Hechi City, southwest China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.

Rescuers sent by the Hechi municipal fire department said the coach veered off the highway to a roadside ditch after the collision at about 6 am on a section of the No 210 national highway in Nandan County, Hechi.

The number of people on board the two vehicles is not immediately known.

The ten injured people have been sent to hospital, rescuers said.
