Two dead after vehicle rams to crowd in C China

CHANGSHA - Two people were killed and 13 others injured on Saturday after a motor vehicle lost control and rammed to roadside crowd in central China's Hunan Province, local authorities said.
The accident occurred at about 3 pm in the township of Chengguan in Yizhang County, an official with the the county's publicity department said.
One died instantly while the other died in hospital after rescue failed.
The injured have been sent to a local hospital and two of them are in serious conditions, the official said.
The driver and the owner of the vehicle have been detained for questioning. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
