An 86-year-old man in Kazuo county, Liaoning province, killed his neighbor over something that happened 61 years ago because he said he wanted to get revenge before his death.

Su Cong, who lives in Erzhangzi village, was involved in a dispute with Su Tianwen, a fellow farmer, in the spring of 1950 that resulted in the latter being stabbed. Su Cong was detained for 47 days.

From then on, both have been bitter rivals and, as Su Cong grew older, he feared the chance of getting revenge was slipping from his grasp.

On June 16, Su Cong beat his archenemy to death with a stone and told police he was glad to have tasted revenge.
