Traffic accident leaves 2 dead in E China

HEFEI - Two people were killed and 24 others were injured in a traffic accident in East China's Anhui province, a local publicity official said.
The accident occurred in Mengcheng county around 8 am, when a coach collided head-on with a large truck, leaving two dead and 24 injured at the scene, the official said.
The injured have been sent to a local hospital for treatment, the official said. Two of the injured are in critical condition, according to the official.
The identities of the two deceased have yet to be confirmed due to heavy damage done to the coach, according to the official.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
